We were not dressed for t occasion but the tall waitress were so kind to seat us with t lemon trees in t rear where t garden of t restaurant is . I like my champagne very cold and very fizzy and instead of serving me a glass of t open bottle that was in t fridge she opened a new cold bottle for me . So kind again ! She is the one that takes your order and knows everything . The others are more like super nice busboys and girls . The fish soup was carefully made, not too fishy and not too salty but super flavorful. We asked for raw garlic to eat it w t toast and t soup like in Provence and our wish was promptly attended with no hesitation again! My sister loves tequila but since they didnt have a selection the tall waitress came again and recommended a dry grappa bianca. I ate the pate de fois gras which was very well prepared and my sister indulged with very fresh oysters , clams and the snail i forgot t name that we always eat in Portugal . Thank you du Coq for being so nice to your customers. I dont know why the one star review had such a bad time there ! What a pity : .
The worst experience in the Italian riviera: bad food, the waiters don’t know anything about the food and drinks the place offers and are completely disrespectful... and the price was ridiculously high: $200 dlls for 2 people. Not recommended at all.
My wife and I enjoyed oysters, raw tuna, and pasta with lobster in their beautiful garden area in the back. The oyster sampler had six different kinds and followed a sweet to salty order delicious!
My wife and I were able to cut out a little bear for us late in the evening. given the aperitif time and abundance we only tasted the selection of 12 oysters. What a nice dish! we have gotten 5 varieties of oysters, including the gillardeau I love, and a good glass of champagne. but in the simplicity of our visit we were like at home. will be recommended and pampered, but all the staff was very kind. particular mention to bread/focaccia, homemade served warm. really nice, got it together with a great salted butter. By reading the menu we want to return to taste many other dishes. Next!
Ducoq offers something different from the type of catering to which we are accustomed, makes us discover (or allows us to relive) the concept of bar à huitres parigino. we are holy daisy, so this concept is rightly reinterpreted by adapting it to the beautiful Ligurian frame in which this place was born from its owners. an elegant and sumptuous room with high and frescoed ceilings, the open kitchen and the exhibition of the products available leave the space to a private and cosy garden on the back where it is surrounded by lemon plants. the menu includes, in addition to the wide selection of cruditès, also some hot dishes. the wine card, in relation to the various dishes offered, is complete and the right embroidery. spectacular, in all senses, the entrance of raw with the selection of oysters, shrimps and scampi. excellent first offer, excellent dessert that denotes a great hand of the chef. the staff is prepared, passionate and available to recommend dishes and combinations. account in line with sensory experience and location. I'll definitely come back as soon as I get a chance.
