Contribuiți la feedbackSuko Sushi officially closed its doors on September 8, 2022. I will always treasure the wonderful memories and delicious food that the talented chefs and staff shared with us during our many visits. A heartfelt thank you for being a part of our lives. I hope our paths cross again someday!
Overall, it's a solid option if you're in the area. While I personally prefer a spot on 2nd Street in Long Beach, I wouldn't hesitate to dine here again. The service was good, and the restaurant appeared clean. They also offer assistance for those with gluten-free dietary needs. Additionally, they had a great selection of happy hour specials!
I've been trying to enjoy sushi for a long time, but it never really clicked for me—until now! Suko Sushi has completely changed my perspective. The sushi was incredible, especially with their ponzu sauce! We sampled the lemon salmon roll, sear salmon truffles, and a sushi combination of salmon, yellowtail, and sear salmon, and we loved every bite!
Delicious and incredibly fresh sushi. I had the sushi lunch plate and salmon belly and the toro. It was melt in your mouth soft and buttery. My favorite bite was of seared salmon sushi.
The first nigiri, a flavor combination of fresh and citrus, was quite delectable. It was a shame that the citrus flavor overpowered the freshness of the fish. The second nigiri, a nice red snapper, was delightful. It was almost perfect in every way, but unfortunately there was a hint of thickness in the fish. The third nigiri, a fatty yellowtail, was delicious. It had great taste and texture, but lacked flavor. The fouth nigiri, a seared salmon, was delicately composed. It had great balance between fatty and flavor. The fifth nigiri, a fatty shoyo toro, was amazing. It was an explosion of wonderfulness and had the just right amount of fatty and flavor in each bite. The sixth nigiri, a yuzu scallop, was nice. The scallop was the highlight of the dish and the yuzu did not overpower the flavor this time around. A new dish, cooked sea bass, had a warmth to the dish and had very soft fat that just melts in your mouth. The seventh nigiri was surprisingly an uni nigiri and was great. It was an experience rather than an hopeful search for great flavor and I rather enjoyed it because of the comfort the nigiri gave me. The final nigiri was the SuperDuo, an amazing combination of fatty and flavor. This dish is definitely peaked at every expectation and was packed with fattiness and flavor.
