Madame Matisse - Santa Fe

Waitress unpleasant. Took longer than needed for drinks and food. Only 3 tables were occupied in restaurant and some take out orders. Flies everywhere on clean tables and silverware. Flies in pastry display on the pastry to sell to customers. Overallthis restaurant is very dirty and has very unpleasant staff.

Today was our first time there and it wouldn?t be the last. While waiting for our car to be fixed nearby, we went to Madame Matisse for an early lunch. French Onion Soup, Eggs Benedict and Croque Madame were all great. Delicious and full of flavor. Wealso bought a few Danish pastries to go. They were the best I?ve had since a while. Wonderful food at very reasonable prices.We sure will be back.

Great spot for breakfast and pastries! We got there at 8:45am and were immediately seated? eggs Benedict was great? Spanish omelette with cheddar cheese; Nutella crepe; French toast all delicious! The pastries started coming out of the kitchen about9? got some chocolate, plain, and almond croissants to go? YUM! We will definitely be back!

I'd been wanting to try this cafe for a while... Only a small Sunday menu to choose from. I picked the huevos rancheros: eggs ok, black beans no flavor, out of can, wilted salad, dressing no flavor, strange pink sauce, no chili red or green. Smallportion for $10.95. Maybe I should go back for a different dish to see what everyone is raving about? I went to TresColores cafe in town today, had delicious huevos rancheros...with red and green chili sauce and crispy potatoes, for $11.

We tried Madame Matisse for the first time, last weekend. The croque monsieur, the steak and the turkey sandwich were all great! The oriental chicken salad was lacking. The chocolate chai tea was delicious and so was the chocolate croissant. The otherpastries were sub-par and pricey. The macaroons were probably the worst, they were very chewy tasted several days old. Ourwaitress was not great, we had to keep asking for water and she only came to our table twice, even though they were slow. Shewould just disappear the back, the lady running the counter was more attentive. Also, when we got our bill there was a bunch ofrandom charges that would have cost us $24 extra if we hadn't paid attention.
