Le Pommier Bistro - Santa Fe

I visited Pommier tonight, and it was delightful. My son ordered the escargot, while my husband and I chose the house pâté and foie gras. Everything was beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. For our main courses, we had sweetbreads and lamb, both of which were cooked to perfection. The ambiance was lovely, featuring French music and wonderful service. We all had a fantastic evening and can’t wait to return soon!

Upon entering the restaurant, you’re greeted by a charming space reminiscent of a quaint French shop. We were welcomed with a smile and promptly shown to our table. For appetizers, we shared onion soup and crab cakes; both were enjoyable but could have used a bit more seasoning. For our main courses, we had steak tartare and salmon, both of which were very good. The service throughout the evening was excellent, and when our waitress recommended the new desserts at the top of the menu—claiming they were her favorites in all of France—we decided to try all three. The chocolate dessert was outstanding! The apple dessert, served with ice cream, was tasty as well, though the crust was a bit tough and required a knife, which our attentive waitress quickly provided when she noticed our struggle. The third dessert, a lemon pastry, was tart and very enjoyable. I intended to take photos, but unfortunately, my phone battery died. This restaurant is still relatively new, so please give it a try; it truly deserves the opportunity to shine!

I've visited this restaurant half a dozen times, and I've consistently found the food to be excellent. I've tried a variety of dishes, and none have let me down. The attention to detail, beautiful presentations, and fresh ingredients are what keep me coming back for more. It's unfortunate that people love to complain about everything these days, so I'd suggest taking the negative reviews with a grain of salt or two. If you judge a restaurant solely on service, you're likely to be disappointed wherever you go. Times have changed, perhaps for good, but I still appreciate the wonderful food here, and I will continue to support this fantastic restaurant.

Amazing food. Authentic, creative and fresh! Best quality. Service was impeccable. Clean and top notch. Parking was easy and accessible. All French restaurants should be like this one!

We came back for dinner on Saturday night. What a lovely experience. He sat at a charming table with a wonderfully comfortable city on one side and an equally comfortable chair on the other. I ordered the delectable onion soup with grew year croutons as a first course and veal sweetbreads as the second course, which included the most delicious asparagus I believe I have ever tasted. My dinner companion had the chilled watermelon soup as a first course and the Seabass as the second course. Both of us were delighted. In addition to the wonderful food and service, a wonderful pianist and singer was entertaining all of us. Charles was interactive with everyone in the restaurant, often inviting people up to sing, which made it an extra special evening. As I said the first time, we will definitely be back!
