La Fiesta Lounge - Santa Fe

The restaurant was very busy when I visited on a Saturday during the Hot Air Balloon Festival. The wait for a table was too long, so I decided to sit in the Lounge instead, where there was no waiting for a seat for one! I ordered an Old Fashioned, chili rellenos, and onion rings, and everything was excellent. There was only one server handling all the tables in the Lounge, but my food and drink arrived quickly. However, after that, follow-up service was lacking, and I found myself managing on my own. It didn't feel rude to ask for help, though—I simply flagged down the food runner for a to-go box and asked the host for my credit card. It was manageable, but I wouldn't recommend this place if you're in a hurry or feeling demanding. The big question is: would I go back? Absolutely!

We had a fantastic dinner at a great price! The staff surprised my son with a dessert for his birthday, and I will always remember that gesture.

We went in for drinks and I am certain my margarita had very little tequila. I was disappointed because of the cost. I will not return. Try the bar at the Chimayo Hotel! The margarita was superb.

The hotel is fantastic, and the main restaurant is excellent, though the lounge could use some improvement. The staff is wonderful, and bartender Mark is a true gem of entertainment. I ordered the Caesar salad with chicken, but it was rather bland, lacking the distinct flavors you'd expect from a Caesar dressing. The chicken was below average as well. Perhaps I just picked a bad night to dine there.

I can sum up La Fiesta in one word: DELICIOUS! Melissa provided friendly and attentive service, and I really enjoyed the 80s music that was playing. I would absolutely recommend La Fiesta!
