Contribuiți la feedbackIn addition to the missing amenities I’ve mentioned, there is no pool, hot tub, or spa. The continental breakfast was also disappointing, consisting solely of sugary snacks that appeared to be mass-produced, such as brownie bites, cake, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and creamy strawberry yogurt, along with sweet granola bars. Where is the plain yogurt instead of all the sugary options? The only fresh fruit available was apples that were squishy and mealy. There wasn't a single healthy item worth eating, forcing us to go out for breakfast every day, which added significantly to our vacation costs. It's easy to see why there have been so many negative reviews recently. Essentially, the Inn at Vanessie is charging guests for amenities that they either cannot or will not provide, which is misleading and deceptive. On October 19, I emailed the inn, respectfully requesting a $120 refund for our four-night stay, but I have yet to receive any response. There is no owner available to speak with, and the on-duty managers were unhelpful. It's shameful—and potentially illegal—how they continue to take advantage of guests by being dishonest about their resort offerings, which is why I felt compelled to write this review. They neglect to acknowledge emails and clearly have no concern for customer service. The indifference displayed by management should serve as a warning to future travelers considering this property. We would never stay here again, nor would we recommend it to anyone. Take my advice: you shouldn't either, or you'll likely regret it.
Let's start with the positives: 1. **Location**: The property is centrally located, making it easy to access any restaurant or bar you might want to visit. 2. **Atmosphere**: It has a charming Santa Fe style and character that's very appealing. 3. **Service**: The staff at the front desk were friendly, and they allowed us to check in early. Now, for a couple of drawbacks: 1. **Cleanliness**: Our room was somewhat dusty and had a few cobwebs. 2. **Condition**: The room could use some basic renovations, including new grout in the shower and an updated air conditioning unit. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, and if we find ourselves in Santa Fe again, this property would definitely be on our shortlist.
- The restaurant and piano bar have been closed for over a year, and I could not find any information about this on their website. - The $35 resort fee primarily covers on-site parking and a basic continental breakfast, which is adequate but nothing special. - The property's maintenance and upkeep seemed quite lacking. We stayed in the Galisteo room, which we found appealing for its rustic pueblo style, though we had a few concerns: - The room did not quite match the pictures I had seen online. - The television was not functioning for our entire visit. - Both our room and other rooms we checked out were equipped with a large swamp cooler on the floor, which worked but was quite unattractive. - In the bathroom, the hot and cold water in the shower were reversed. - While the room featured a private courtyard and enclosed patio, the courtyard was overgrown and clearly hadn't been tended to in months (evident from the trees growing beneath the table). The enclosed patio area also seemed to have been neglected for quite some time. I spoke several times with various managers during our stay. They were polite, but never offered an apology or even inquired about our experience upon checkout. Overall, we won’t be returning and cannot recommend this hotel considering the high prices they charge.
The pictures and the description of the “motel” are absolutely not accurate. There is no piano bar open. No restaurant open. This is in now way a resort. We were charged for a resort fee for each night we stayed and we had absolutely nothingbesides a room to stay in. I booked a larger room and they gave me the incorrect room for the booking. We woke up with ants(at least 100) ants in the bed. The staff was very apologetic but they could not do anything because the owner doesn’t seemto care about the customer’s satisfaction. DO NOT BOOK HERE. The Hilton is very close ????
In addition to the missing amenities I mentioned, there is also no pool, hot tub, or spa. As for the continental breakfast, it consisted solely of sugary snacks purchased from Costco or similar stores. The selection included brownie bites, cakes, cinnamon rolls, cookies, cream and strawberry yogurt, and sweet granola bars. Where are the plain yogurt options, or any healthy choices at all? The only fresh fruit available was bruised, soft apples. Not a single healthy item was provided on the breakfast table, which forced us to pay for breakfast each day, adding to the overall cost of our stay. It’s no surprise that there have been many negative reviews about this place recently. Essentially, Inn at Vanessie advertises amenities they can’t (or won’t) offer, which is both misleading and deceptive. On October 19, I sent them an email requesting a refund of $120 for our four-day stay, but I received no response. There is no owner to contact, and the management staff are unhelpful. It's shameful—and possibly illegal—that they continue to mislead customers about their resort amenities, which prompted this review. Their failure to respond to emails and general disregard for customer service should be a serious warning to future travelers considering this property. We would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone. If you are considering it, I suggest you think twice. I certainly regret my decision.
