Guannabi - Santa Cruz de Tenerife

From the reviews I honestly expected more. The location is pretty and the food is okay, but once seated we were told that multiple things on the menu weren’t available MANY THINGS and we had a misunderstanding with the waiter that told us “we don’t have whole potatoes” meaning dishes that implied foil potatoes/sweet potatoes ? but he pronounced whole as “all”, so we kept thinking they didn’t have potatoes at all we asked multiple times and also by the attitude of the waiters it really seemed they had no potatoes at all . Dishes were good 3,5/5 but the taste was always really strong also on simple starters. Generally speaking also the price was a little high.

The BEST place to eat in Tenerife. Everything exceptional. Oscar the waiter was so nice and fun and helped us so much with choosing: I would come back and really recommend it . !

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Guannabi last night, greatly enhanced by the friendly welcome from host/chef owner Juan and his sweet dog Ping. Guided as to what to order by our host we ended up with a perfect selection of shared dishes, each unique and extremely tasty, leaving us suitably full and very satisfied with our meal. I would strongly recommend visiting this cosy and welcoming restaurant in a nice location in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Que grata sorpresa; tanto la comida como el servicio. Quiero destacar el atendimiento de oscar en sala espectacular y las manos de la cocinera mari . Bombones de morcilla dulce rellenas de manzana muy top Chipirones con tomates cherrys y papitas súper tiernos Salmon marinado con manzana locura en el paladar Batata al carbón con almogrote sin palabras Black angus con papas mantequilla.... y de locos FELICIDADES

Espera de un hora para los primeros platos, de tres sólo llegó uno. Era una noche entre semana y el restaurante no estaba completo, poca coordinación entre la cocina y la sala. Los segundos platos con demasiada patata. El resultado final nos decepcionó.
