The View At Chaminade - Santa Cruz

Can't believe we haven't been sooner or more often. Calamari, Fish and Chips, better than you would expect from the Bay Area. Too many “wharf” places but this is so good. Both were crispy but that calamari was something from another planet! Best preparation I've ever had. Kudos!

Food was delicious, views were amazing and the service was also good. We will be back this week as we are in town visiting family. Next time we will bring the whole crew. Can't remember the mans name wearing chefs uniform...Abraham maybe, but he was delightful and what a great touch! You don't see that very often anymore!

Dinner at the View was pleasant and enjoyable. The weather was clear and we could see across the bay. Food was good with the shrimp fettucine and short rib burger exceptional. Our server J.C was very amazing.

UNBELIEVABLE food. STELLAR service. PHENOMENAL view. The food out of this world. By far and away the best food in Santa Cruz or even further. We eat out several times a week. Am actually upset that we haven't come sooner. Any bad reviews on here are either biased or just overly pessimistic. If you know anything about dining...you need to go.

We were celebrating a birthday and the chef came out with a plate that had happy Birthday on it. It was something you don't see anymore. Something about having an extra special touch that makes everything seem invisible around you. Not many places if any do things like this. As someone who used to be in hospitality and food service, I left because things like this seemed to go away. It is a testament to what they are doing and I hope they can provoke this type of service in the community. Well done.
