Taqueria Jalapenos - Santa Cruz

Fish taco was okay but the shrimp tacos were super yummy! Their Jicama drink was so delicious. Sadly, no refills. I live in San Diego and stop here whenever I pass through. This place is one of my favorite spots in all of Santa Cruz

Special menu American breakfast. They only had it on Tuesday, June 14. 2023 from 9:00 to 9:05 so be on time and don’t miss it out. It was very good I also got a nice guacamole plate for my son he loved

I ordered the quesabirrias from doordash and I didn't care for it at all. They were just meat and cheese. No onions and cilantro. Barely any cheese but a lot of thick pieces of beef. I really couldn't taste anything but the beef! The beef was super bland like it was just cooked in a crockpot with little seasoning. It was very tender though. Literally like a pot roast my dad would make for dinner. The consume was very one note. A bit sweet, no acid no spice. I got it with medium red chile and spicy green chile salsa. Preferred the red it had more acidity. I used all six lime wedges I ordered but it didn't add much. The tortillas were super soggy by the time the food came and it took only 12 minutes to come. Overall I'm not impressed and won't order again

Pretty pricey for what you get. You're better off with any of the taco trucks in town.

Very impressed! Tacos are AMAZING and great counterservice. Eat here after a day at the Boardwalk!
