Poet Patriot Irish Pub - Santa Cruz

We went to Poet and Patriot for the first time to hear my friend doing stand-up comedy. She was good. That was the bar. Good beer. Comedy. Darts. Nice people. At the end of a small parking lot. Besides a jazz club that closes earlier. Taco stands right in front of the two companies. A lady came in to sell tables. We bought two Tamale. We'd go back. We had a good time.

Fun place to hang out! Bartender was very friendly and personal. You have a wide variety of beer options for Dart Boards. It's just cash, so ready! You have an ATM with a $2 fee.

My spiritual home for drinking. An authentic pub atmosphere and healthy rebellion and wonderful community. Large beer, many local craft options. Open Mic Tues Sat. FREE live music and comedy frequently.

So sweet! Love the warm atmosphere. It really feels like an Irish pub on a week night or a slow weekend... I wouldn't suggest the hard core rock shows if you want to feel the Irish pub... Cash only... but there's a cash machine.... Darts and other games in the back... Fireplace and comfortable benches and games and books... Most small town Irish pubs have armchairs! Do it! I loved that

I like the comfortable atmosphere. Darts has gotten pretty serious over time one room is all darts. The other is tables and there's always the bar. Nice hangout.
