Contribuiți la feedbackI have been living in Santa Cruz for almost five years and just recently tried Engfer Pizza Works. I don't know where I've been because they truly have some of the best vegan pizzas in town. They offer a wide variety of vegetarian-friendly pizzas that can be made vegan by eliminating the cheese and using their house-made tofu spread and red sauce as a base. They also have a gluten-free crust option. As newcomers, we decided to try their New Bee Pizza (vegan style), which was a delicious combination of garlic, olives, and red bell peppers. A large pizza costs around $35 including tax. We also had the soup of the day, a creamy sweet potato stew that was fully plant-based. The pizza was fantastic, with a crispy crust and flavorful toppings. My only suggestion would be to add some plant-based meat options or other appetizers to the menu since we were quite hungry. However, the pizza itself was excellent. They make ordering drinks simple - you can serve yourself water or choose from a variety of beverages in the large fridges and pay at the end with your pizza. Street parking is available, and we had no trouble finding a spot even when visiting late at night on a weekend.
The food at this restaurant is delicious and the service is friendly. There is even a ping pong table available. The atmosphere inside is cozy and welcoming, and they offer a nice selection of drinks including fizzy drinks like Coke and alcoholic beverages.
