Cole's B-q - Santa Cruz

My husband was disappointed that the ribs didn't have enough smoke taste and his tritip was dry. I couldn't tell if the pulled pork was spiced in or if it was the BBQ sauce. The waitress was kind, even buying a homeless person dinner.

Wow, this restaurant was amazing. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cool. It was exactly what we needed after a day at the beach. The service on the busy 4th of July was outstanding - the waitress did everything she could to ensure we had a great meal. We will definitely be eating here every time we visit. The grill and wood fire BBQ cooking make the food even healthier than typical street food. This place is the best for BBQ.

So good! Definitely will be back to try more dishes on the menu. The pork, cole slaw, and potato salad were all excellent!

We shared the combo and it met the starving place for both of us so well. it has been a favorite for years and we have to hit it when in the city.

I have been coming to Coles for nearly 25 years. I remember the old Aptos location,, but we have eaten at the smaller Pleasure Point location many times too.. The food has always been very consistent, friendly service, and those famous French fries can't be missed ?. It's a great place for outdoor lunch in the cool breezes. I look forward to my next visit.
