Blaze Pizza - Santa Cruz

Very good pizza. The staff was exemplary and the location was very clean. Not the cheapest, but it's a great place to take a little lunch.

This is a fun place to get pizza. You wait in line and they make your pizza right in front of you for a very reasonable price. As a vegan, I was happy that they offer vegan cheese and the staff was amenable to putting on new gloves before making my pizza after handling non-vegan items. They also have a separate slicer for vegan pizzas so be sure to let them know you want them to use it. I was disappointed that none of their salads are vegan but other than that I had a good experience and I'll be coming back.

I actually really enjoyed coming here. The best option by far is the build your own pizza. You choose a crust type, sauce, and as many toppings as you want. Their pesto sauce is really good, but they could stand to put a bit more. There's a good selection of toppings that go well together for the most part. After you finish putting your order together, they throw it in the oven and you wait a bit for it to finish. When it's done they take it out and give it to you. Be sure to try some of the extra sauces they have after it comes out of the oven. You have to ask for these specifically. Overall I think it's a good deal to be able to build your own pizza with a lot of toppings, especially if you want to try a lot of their stuff.

Great pizza. Slow service. Not enough workers to fix the pizzas, cook them and check you out. No bags to carry them home in.

Don't order online at all! Waited over thirty minutes and watched over twelve people get their pizzas from just standing in line. Super slow, inattentive staff. They seemed to mostly be paying attention to in store customers, every person that came in for their app order was told they're working on it and then it was started on. This might be a plus for some people, but they put a lot of each topping, especially the vegetables, too much in my opinion. It's easier to control when in store. The one i ordered online, had a center raw and cooked unevenly, because of how much they stacked on. Overall, I would do everything in store. It's a great value, and it's hard to hate something you customized. In store it's closer to five stars, just their online system is one star. The dough knots are quite tasty (great, clever name too) and a good price. Salads also unique and taste great and go good with a half pizza.
