Bagelry Seabright - Santa Cruz

I had the Albacore bagel, and it was excellent. Their bagels are good (not the best, but good), and their service is excellent. Location is a bit weird to get to, but overall a good experience.

This place is really good! I've been there twice and received great customer service both times. I recommend trying the Veg bagel sandwich on the cheese and jalapeño bagel and add an egg white to it...you won't regret it!

There were some issues when the new owners took over. However, they have solved their staffing issues and the food and service is better then it ever was!!! I love the place and they are bicycle friendly. The Angry Bird is my favorite for lunch.

My first experience here was in 2017 going through the drive thru. I normally ordered a bagel or sandwich or something. I stopped coming in 2018, after a visit inside. I just couldn't get over the kitchen and working areas being so dirty and greasy. The food was solid but I don't except much from my bagels or sandwiches. I walked into the place today for the first time in over a year because I wanted something different for breakfast and didn't want to go to McDonald's. So I thought I would check out Sals again. I figured with COVID the place would probably be cleaner now. I walked in thinking I was the wrong place. Everything was so clean. From the counter you can look into the kitchen and see the floor. The kitchen equipment in the back is either new or has been cleaned so good it looks new. This is not the place I remember. I was not surprised to learn the place is under new ownership and the change is welcome. Most importantly, my breakfast was solid. It's not McDonald's prices but I don't mind paying a little more to support a local business. I ordered an Egglet with Ham on the Works Bagel.
