De Luz - Santa Barbara de Samana

Stayed here overnight while visiting friends. If you are looking for a nice budget hotel in El Limon, don't look further. Beds and bed linen were clean, the staff was super nice and the view from the top floor was a!!! Only negative was that there was no hot water and I stayed in the month of December, which will cooler at night.

We really enjoyed our stay. The owner was always available and the staff treated me as if I were in their house. The view of the mountains from the third floor / bathroom window / bedroom window was amazing! Nearby there is a natural flowing freshwater pool where you can swim with the fish and it is right next to the local road, hahahaha. It was such a fun experience to go to the pool. The hotel had everything we needed: bed, air conditioning and great service. When it comes to hot water, you should ask the owner to let the hot water run when you shower. All five of us were treated like family and we loved our stay.

Roberto, the owner is very friendly. They gave us a room on the top floor with private terrace and outdoor kitchen and really fantastic views, we loved sitting out every minute and watching the tropical environment, beautiful! The room was immaculately clean and the bathroom was bigger and much more modern than we had expected for this cheap price of a thousand pesos! Today we went to the waterfall, in less than 25 minutes door to door you reach the entrance gate where you pay 50 Pesos pp and from there we went peacefully and easily 45 minutes to the falls. Perfect stay! Colmados around the corner and also Komdore. Fully recommended, really all, not just budget routes! I'm sure you stay here. Thank you.

We loved the hotel, the location, everything. Excellent for a few days in the Limon

The room was clean, had a very nice terrace with kitchen and fridge. The pool. He was clean and warm. The hotel is not near the beach, but is very comfortable as a source for excursions. Very nice manager I would recommend. We were going to be one night and we finally stayed for a week. The wifi only works in the rooms close to the common areas. Sometimes the bathroom smelled like a septic tank.
