Salty At The Beach - Santa Barbara

The service at this restaurant is extremely slow. We placed our order at 1:11, but didn't receive our appetizers until 1:50. My clam chowder was served cold, and when they brought me a replacement, it was also lukewarm. Despite being hungry, we still hadn't received our main courses by 2:30. The restaurant wasn't even busy, so it was frustrating to wait over an hour for our food. We decided to leave after watching a party of 20+ people who arrived after us receive their meals first. We were only given our appetizers for free after expressing our frustration and wanting to leave. Due to this gesture, I am giving the restaurant 4 stars instead of 1. I would not recommend this place if you don't want to be kept waiting unnecessarily.

This restaurant is in a great location and looks very inviting. I ordered a lemonade and it took almost 40 minutes to receive it. We ordered chicken sandwiches and fish and chips, and there was a chicken bone in one of the sandwiches. The food was decent, but not exceptional. It took about an hour for the food to arrive. Overall, the service was very slow and the staff seemed overwhelmed. It's not reasonable to have one person handling everything. I don't think we will be returning, as a slower pace at the beach might be a better fit. However, the server deserves 5 stars for his effort, as he appeared to be new and was doing his best. Other than that, I would give this restaurant a 1-star rating.

Our server was friendly, but the main issue at this restaurant is the long wait time for food. It took over 40 minutes to receive our order of calamari and a tri tip sandwich to share. Despite being asked if we wanted the calamari as an appetizer, it arrived cold alongside our main course. The tri tip sandwich was decent, but not worth the expensive price tag. Overall, the experience was disappointing and not worth the high cost for subpar, cold dishes.

Good location, super slow service it took close to two hours to get a salad and an entree of fish and chips. Came in right before their happy hour rush to try their crème brûlée and made sure to mention it when first ordering, even paid ahead of time to try and recover some lost time but ended up having to get dessert refunded because they were out when the order was finally put in. Overall an incredibly disappointing waste of time for underwhelming food and service.

Very reasonable price considering the location. And they have happy hour discounts. Server was friendly and attentive. Portion sizes are generous and food is pretty tasty! My favorite was the Brussel Sprouts. Also enjoyed the tuna poke, calamari, and Truffle fries. Fair warning if you are considering getting the crab dip. It's made with fake crabs, not the warm creamy cheesy dip made with real crabs. So I'd pass on that. So many other great options to choose from! Cell reception a bit if challenge at the restaurant and not sure if they have wifi.
