Harry's Plaza Cafe - Santa Barbara

Harry's has been one of my favorite spots since the late 1960's. I guess I am stuck on them. I even had my husband's memorial there because he was also a fan. You know the saying where everybody knows your name ? Yes, it is a place like that. Strongdrinks so watch your tolerance levels. The food is more than adequate, but don't expect gourmet fare. The service is beyondcompare 99.9 percent of the time. I don't think you can go wrong.

I absolutely love this restaurant! I ordered the marinara pasta, which was so delicious I devoured it quickly. My partner had the deep beef, and it was very filling. After that, I tried the Cadillac cocktail—oh my goodness, it was fantastic! The atmosphere here is wonderful, and the staff is amazing. I will definitely be coming back for more, and maybe I'll try a different drink next time. Can't wait! Ciao!

We love Harry's. It's a fun place to eat in. But we have not done so since COVID. We do takeout. The service for take out is always helpful. The food comes up quick. The food is generally solid. The wedge is a winner. As is the spaghetti. The to-go drinks are always stiff and worth the money. All in, we love Harry's and recommend it without qualification. It's old-School SB.

I was excited to dine here, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The food was mediocre at best, and our waitress was not attentive at all. She passed by our table four times before finally taking our drink order. After we finished our meal, we waited for 20 minutes just to receive the check, and when she finally brought it, she simply said, "Here’s your check." I won’t be coming back. There are other restaurants that offer similar dishes with much better service. Don’t waste your time or money here.

What a classic Santa Barbara restaurant bar. This has been a locals hangout for since I can remember, (and that's a lot of years) The proportions are large and the food is classically delicious and the drinks are nice and strong. It's not in the touristy part of town so it's normally filled with Santa Barbarians and their guests.
