Contribuiți la feedbackMy experience at this restaurant was very negative. The staff was rude. 1. We were seated in a bad location with the sun shining directly in our faces. Even after requesting a different table, they were unwilling to accommodate us. 2. The eggplant parmigiana sandwich had no eggplant in it at all. When we asked about it, our server responded with, "Oh, it's closing time. That's how it usually is around this time." I hope they make improvements soon.
Food was ok. Staff was extremely nice, despite being very short handed. The atmosphere was lacking despite a great location. Music selection was more in tune with a 50’s style diner and food lacked flavor beyond garlic. Interesting menuoptions, had never seen such a huge piece of calamari- but it easily could have been prepared with more flavor/ something otherthan garlic to make it more memorable.
My friend and I stopped in for drinks while we waited for our dinner reservation. The drinks were served elegantly and with a touch of sophistication. They were flavorful and potent, albeit a bit pricey. The interior had an old-world charm with plush leather booths, twinkling fairy lights, ivy-covered walls, and classic music playing on Spotify. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind for the evening.
My wife and I were unable to finish our meals at this restaurant. It wasn't due to the taste, but rather the food didn't sit well with us. We ended up taking our leftovers home in a doggy bag. Unfortunately, my wife felt nauseated the next morning and couldn't keep the food down. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was busy on a Saturday night at 7:30pm, so it was a bit loud and chilly with the door left open. I may have been underdressed for the cold weather wearing a short-sleeved shirt. We were served water in plastic cups while others had glasses, which was a bit disappointing considering the price we paid ($120 for two people). I ordered the jalapeño pork chops and my wife had the eggplant. The waitress described the cuisine as East Coast Italian, which we interpreted to be southern Italian or Sicilian style - heavier, spicier, and chunkier than northern Italian. In comparison, it reminded us of Bucca De Beppo without the family-style servings. If you're looking to save some money, I would suggest trying a different restaurant.
The food and service at this restaurant were excellent. Victor, our server, was fantastic.
