Chiva Torta - Santa Ana

Chiva Torta is a staple of downtown Santa Ana. Whether you like tortas, tacos or quesadillas... Chiva Torta has an array of different delicious Mexican food and drinks. There's no other place I'll go for tortas ahogadas. I highly recommend them!Kid-friendliness: It is definitely kid-friendly. I have two picky eats and they still love this place.

I ordered the prepared tacos dorados, and they did not disappoint! I received four fried potato tacos topped with refried beans, crispy pork carnitas, pickled onions, and a spicy salsa (the same one they use for their torta ahogada). We also tried the torta ahogada with carnitas and with barbacoa. The bread is truly authentic, and the salsa packs a serious heat. Just be cautious when you ask for extra spicy! The agua de horchata is a great way to cool down the burning sensation in your mouth, just so you know.
