701 Restaurant Bar Santa Ana

The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, but there are significant improvements needed in the kitchen, service, and bar. It took at least 45 minutes for our server to come over and introduce herself to us. By that time, we had already decided on our drinks, appetizers, and entrées. After placing our order, it took another 45 minutes to receive our drinks. Our appetizer, a half dozen oysters, arrived after an additional 15 minutes, but they lacked seasoning. It seemed like they just opened the oysters, squeezed a little lemon on them in a haphazard manner, and sprinkled on some salt without much thought. I ordered a ribeye steak cooked medium-rare, but it came out well done. My wife tried the empanadas which were tasty, but they must have been sitting out for a while, as they arrived cold. My friend ordered green chile enchiladas that were also good, but unfortunately cold when served.

Isabella was the only bright spot in our experience. We had to wait over 30 minutes, but she made it worthwhile.

There's a club attached to the restaurant that you can access for free when you dine there, so we decided to check it out. The decor in the club was beautiful, and there’s table service along with an impressive private glass-walled party room. However, the music was far too loud! The thumping beats of the Latin/reggaeton music made it impossible to have a conversation with our group; it felt like our brains were vibrating! Unfortunately, we didn't stay long as a result. We will definitely return for dinner but will skip the nightclub next time.

I will tell you this...This place is amazing and the service is tip notch...I highly recommend that you try this new restaurant out...
