The only difference is that we are white and they weren't. They also used a couple different menus with different pricing for items on there.
Excellent food, good prices, the best service in town, and a lot of options in the menu for different taste
You will leave at 7:30 a.m. and not return until around 5:30 p.m. They give you 1 towel, bring an additional one from the hotel. There are changing areas, so bring dry clothing to wear home. We wore our suits under rash guards. (if you need to change into your suite you can, before they start.. but everyone else, including the guide will be aggravated) If you don't know how to swim, be mindful that the rivers are up to 90 feet deep and even wearing your life vest (provided) you will need to get yourself from point A to point B, which sometimes can be half a mile in the rivers. They provide swim masks (no snorkel attachment) we brought our own full face snorkel masks. There is only one cenote that you will use it in. And you can leave belongings on the locked bus/van, in between stops. You are able to skip any activity you don't want to do. They will have you follow the photographer to the end of the activity. Our non-swimmer skipped a lot of the activities. You are provided a very nice lunch, after visiting 3 cenotes.. soup and make your own deli type sandwich, as well as, soft drinks, beer and wine. Not a lot of choices for vegetarians. We had fun and the photographer was top notch! But wait until you are back at the hotel (if you're stay at Xcaret) to buy as part of your package. My only complaint is that our guide just didn't seem to be having fun.. he did not explain the history and folklore and always seemed to be rushing everyone to get to the next activity. He just didn't seem to want to be there.
We ate here 4 or 5 times during out condo stay in Puerto Aventuras. 2 breakfasts, a lunch, Christmas Eve dinner and a couple of times at the swim-up bar. Lovely outdoor dining. The breakfasts, lunch and snacks at the bar were excellent. The Christmas dinner was very expensive and very disappointing. 2 choices of meals were given and neither entrée was very good: traditional turkey and a local specialty.
If you arrive when Chef Miguel of Guerrero is cooking, you'll have a 4-star Alta Concina Meal...whatever you order. Even his Flan dessert, made with Philadelphia Cream Cheese, astounds...like none other. I don't even order from the menu...I just ask him to make fish, chicken or meat however he feels....always Great!
