All the food is great and fresh, all you want in a local Chinese, consistent great food. The family who run the place are always there and get to know their regulars which I wish I still was! Great food, great service! Decor is outdated but I don't care! The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that it is probably more expensive than your regular local Chinese, but I think it is worth a visit.
David and his family have run this place about 40 years and I have visited at least once a year for the past 25 years! He and Annie know our tastes so well that we never really look at the menu at all and just agree to their suggestions. Service always very friendly. Apart from the excellent food they have a well stocked bar and a very good selection of wine!
We had a lovely meal here, however were shocked at the price of the food, very expensive for chinese , its not like its a fine dining restaurant, its an out dated place with 80's décor. would go again if it wasn't so expensive.
I went in to order takeaway. The staff were friendly, they opened the door for you wheen you enter and leave. I should have realised that when there was no people eating in I should have walked back out.I order a combination chow mein, which was at a costs of $26.When I got home, I realised the container was more than 50% liquid. There was not much meat or vegetables. The taste was bland, it was more like eating a soup. I could have got past the soup part, but no flavour. I add to add flavour to make it edible. The nicest part of the dish was the fried noodles, which you receive a generous amount.
This is a very expensive Chinese restaurant serving quite average cuisine.Grossly overrated in my opinion. It has been thus for many years
