Raccomandato da amici, devo dire che non si sbagliavano. Sono rimasto veramente soddisfatto di tutto e di tanto in tanto.
We loved the fresh tray of raw seafood followed by grilled seafood including with lobster, absolutely delicious and fresh from the Ligurian sea. It’s one of the best seafood cuisine we had, definitely give them a perfect 10!
This is across the street from the fort on the harbor, in a row of touristy restaurants most of which are worthless. La Siesta was an unexpectedly shocking good value. One of the sister/owners was on scene and first presented us with an off menu dish of very lightly fried julienned vegetables. I then had a very good veal milanese thin cut, fresh, on the bone and nicely breaded. The star of the show, however, was for desert: baked pears with pear gelato and creme anglaise sprinkled with cocoa. I have never used the phrase to die for in anything but a mocking way. I break that streak now. The atmosphere was homey and nautical but so comfortable largely thanks to the owner and staff.
We used to come to this restaurant for years. It is famous for its spaghetti with crab 25€ . My husband took it and was happy. For a change I tried the menu gastronomic for 30€ and I was ever so disappointed. For the first course there was a little fried codfish, a few pieces of poulpo on a bed of tomato’s and a spoon of patato with garlic/ fish taste. Second course was a bit of pasta nero in a shrimp sauce and 3 small empty shrimps shells and some pasta in a cheese sauce. Third course was 4 little pieces of grilled poulpo on a bed of lettuce. All very cheap ingredients for 30€. We had a nice local bottle of rosé and a bottle of mineral water and a bill of 85€. Too expensive for what we got. Service was ok but not friendly and we had to wait a long time to pay. A pity. We will not return.
