Contribuiți la feedbackIncredibly friendly inexpensive local fish restaurant which we go to regularly and always enjoy. Lovely fresh fish and prawns are straight from the sea and can be enjoyed with a wide range of inexpensive manzanillas and white wines. Ignore the somewhat shabby interior and just enjoy the warm welcome and fabulous food.
Our local friends had told us they avoid this restaurant as the owner is famously grumpy and child averse and boy were they right about that. We arrived early on a Sunday and requested a table for 12. He was happy to put 2 tables together until we mentioned 5 children were coming at which point he told us he couldn´t let us sit down until all 12 were present. The 3 of us already present stressed everyone was arriving separately, the kids were 8+ and all 12 guests would all be there very soon we said we would order drinks and nibbles in advance. We literally had to beg him to let us stay seated. Anyhow that weird start to lunch aside, the food was excellent. We enjoyed a great selection of fried fish (acedia, choco gallo). The choco on the grill wasn't cleaned inside which I personally found off putting. The calamar on the grill was fantastic. Great buzzing atmosphere and very local.
Very much a local fish bar, low key decor cafe tables and chairs. The food here is some of the best fried fish I've had. Try with a glass of manzanillar. Also liked the lentil and spinach stew and also some of marinated fish.
This restaurant is a short walk from where we live and we have been there many times over the years. It is consistently good. Famed in Sanlucar for all its fried fish dishes and roasted choco. They have a white board up with the daily specials. Everything is super fresh. Our favourites include the croquetas, the cazon en adobo, fried small prawns and puntillitas (fried baby squid) Order tapas rather than media or raciones as they are better value for money!
