Contribuiți la feedbackWe stayed in St. Goar on a cloudy Monday afternoon in November and wanted to have just a cup of coffee. We are the pedestrian zone (or what is left in November) back up and down with the result: it has just opened a restaurant/café, namely the Golden Lion. It has already earned a bonus point. But even the cake is really not from bad parents and the caffeine-free coffee does not come from the instant bag as usual, but from the machine. Yes, the ambience is somewhat old-fashioned, but it is cozy and the service is fleeting and friendly.
Several times I enjoyed eating and drinking well here. Staff very attentive despite much urge. Dog-friendly. You're welcome. Place:
After a long hike we visited the restaurant there. The service was very friendly and gave us fresh yeast wheat and chilled Riesling from the local winemaker in St. Goar. At 18:00 the kitchen opened and we were able to discover a wide selection of dishes in the beautifully designed menus. We chose the turkey carving with Spätzle and Bratwurst with roast potatoes and sauerkraut. For dessert there was the Petit Château, a dream of a hot chocolate with liquid core and vanilla ice cream. At first we sat on the beautiful terrace outside overlooking the castle Katz and later we changed because of the temperatures. There are also homemade cakes. The food is brought to the table by the cook. We were all satisfied and had a successful end of the day. Thank you.
Cosy as we know from the village, very friendly service, excellent wines from the local winemaker, good food at reasonable prices.
The hotel is quite old but the staff were very friendly and helpful.
