Lazy F is a favorite among many for its budget-friendly seafood dishes. It holds a special place in our hearts as one of our top choices when our daughter was little, so it was wonderful to return there once again.

I was really let down after reading all the glowing reviews. The conch fritters looked appealing, but they tasted overwhelmingly of celery, and the few pieces of conch inside were rubbery and tough. The small coconut shrimp were not the golden, sweet, and juicy bites I expected; instead, they were overly crunchy, lacking flavor, and at best, the size of my thumb with a thick layer of batter. Even the fries were disappointing. To top it off, there was a small, lifeless gecko that had dried up under the paper towel holder on our table, which certainly didn't add to the experience. Compared to other restaurants on Sanibel, this place is just mediocre. I cannot recommend it!

I’m only giving it four stars because my dad's fried grouper was disappointing. The oil it was fried in had an oyster-like flavor, which I enjoy, but not in my fish sandwich. Nonetheless, I look forward to returning to order the same thing: wings and the beer-steamed seafood pot, because that combination is a winner, and both dishes were prepared perfectly!
