Hickory River Smokehouse - Sangamon

Staff was very friendly when I went to pick up my carry out. Turkey was great, but sauce was WAY over powering. Didn't enjoy the ribs, potato salad or Mac and cheese. Corn bread was dry.Disappointed, I would probably skip this place.

Awesome place right off the interstate. Great food, nice people, and the best glass of sweet ice tea in the area.

Some of the food is mediocre, and the remainder is not at all to my taste.

Menu online does not reflect prices in restaurant. Food not worth the price, kids are supposed to eat free on Sundays they charged. Service was not that great and kind of unprofessional teenaged children running the place. The coleslaw was excellent!!! Although I prefer mayo in mine. Brisket chopped was not that great, was fatty, tasted greasy and was served cold on paper on a tray very unsanitary!!! Combo is supposed to have two meats, only gave me one, I was rushed to make a decision even though they only had three tables each with two persons in restaurant, peaches not cooked in cobbler, nasty! Texas toast ok but never had it toasted only on one side. Mac n cheese was cold and tasted too cheesy do not know what kind of cheese they used. Glad I did not choose apple cobbler!!! Food is atrocious here do not waste your time ir money!!!
