Colonial Room - Sanford

This is a lovely restaurant located in the historic city of Sanford. It's not very large, and the tables are closely placed together (as shown in the photo), with a cozy kitchen. The staff was friendly and checked in on us several times after our meal. The food was decent, though the eggs reminded me of a typical heavy spoon kitchen. Next time, I plan to try some of their other breakfast options. Our food arrived quite quickly, making for an enjoyable visit.

I've visited this restaurant several times for breakfast, and I've always tried something different each time. No matter what I choose, it's always fantastic! The service is down-to-earth, and there's no pushy sales tactics or phony promotions—just genuinely great people, satisfying food, and an atmosphere that reminds me of the stories my father used to tell about his youth. Excellent job! I can't wait to return!

Always fresh and delicious, this restaurant feels like a home-cooked meal you can rely on! Located on 1st Street in the historic part of town, it’s a true piece of Sanford’s heritage. Dining here is like taking a step back in time. It’s perfect for breakfast or lunch, with very reasonable prices and good service. They offer fantastic breakfast specialties and excellent omelets!

Awesome diner with various menu items to breakfast, lunch and do not forget their delicious desserts. the personal is friendly and service is great. try super and they will enjoy the experience!

I'm in Sanford from out of town. I've been searching for a great place to get some good comfort food. I'm super glad that I found The Colonial Room Restaurant. It’s located in the beautiful downtown area (the brick roads are pretty sweet . They're open from 6:30 AM to 2:00 PM, so you don't have to worry about missing it because you're eating a late breakfast. The staff is friendly and loved to smile. LOTS of seating including some outdoor tables. Big bonus. They offer pancakes, waffles, french toast, and many egg options including omelettes. Great pricing as just about everything is between $6 and $11. I ordered a fried egg sandwich with grits on the side and glass of orange juice. Perfect all the way through. You won't be disappointed if you stop here. You'll thank me later :
