I'm not a fan of getting too messy with my food, so I made good use of the finger bowls; that way, I could enjoy my sweet iced tea without leaving smudges on the glass. I knew going in that it's hard to resist gnawing on the bones, right? Everything was delicious, and the half slab was more than enough to satisfy my hunger—the countryside can really work up an appetite. After my meal, I made a quick stop in the men's restroom, and I couldn't help but chuckle at the situation! I'm also including two photos from my outing to see three of Maryland's covered bridges in Frederick County (no extra charge!).

The brisket looked like it was stripped of all its smoky bark—either that or it was steamed into oblivion. Either way, it was dry as chalk and completely devoid of fat. The cornbread muffin tasted like plain white bread with a few scattered pieces of corn. For the price, the portions were ridiculously small. Sure, you do get a lot of sides, but let's be real—people don’t go to a BBQ joint just for decent sides. After reading some other reviews, I really hope they can turn this place around or find new owners who truly understand good food. With some effort, this could become a fantastic neighborhood bar and BBQ spot.

After having driven past this place a few times my wife and I decided to try it out and we were glad we did. They have daily specials and on Tuesday it's half-price ribs. We both had the ribs and though we found them a bit on the dry side, they were still very tasty with the addition of some bbq sauce. I had the slaw and corn for my sides and they were both good. My wife chose slaw and fries and the fries were great. We're big fans of the fries at Five Guys and these were a close match. While we still prefer the ribs at Longhorn, you can't beat the price at half off and we will be back.

Lost my appetite. The coleslaw was not fresh. The tomato corn cucumber salad was not fresh. The side of green beans was a mix of a fresh and old batch mixed together trying to be drowned out by an overpowering sauce excuse me for actually liking vegetables. The wings were overly dry as if freezer burnt. Obviously something is going amiss in that kitchen. Its one thing for a consumer to knowingly buy half priced day old bagels. Its just wrong as a kitchen to not have enough discretion to throw out food and instead charge money for it. I lost my appetite from the sticky feathers still stuck to the wings.

The quality of the meat used in hotdogs is better than the interpretation of BBQed meats you will find here. If you enjoy shoe leather and roadkill, this is your 5 star dining establishment of choice. Gross.
