Samurai Japanese Steak House - Sandusky

Solid hibachi experience. We are from the NYC area and are pretty snobby about Japanese food. While this place isn't making it on any top 10 lists for the USA, it was perfect for our post-park dinner with the kids. Seated quickly, fun cooking experience,tasty fresh food. All good!

Colleen is an AMAZING server. We had such a good experience. I loved the sushi. Got two rolls, but my first one I ate so quick I forgot to take a photo. Highly recommend the Dynamite roll. One of the best rolls I've ever had. My partner had the steak filetwith rice, veggies, and three shrimp. My other roll I customized and it only cost me about $6 extra to get what I wanted. Ispent around $8p here, but it was worth it. Amazing service. Great atmosphere. Fantastic server as well as kind sushi chef. Iwould love to come back to this place if I'm ever back in town. Highly recommend if you love sushi and you're traveling through.

We were initially skeptical about the location due to the poor lighting outside, and we weren’t even sure if it was open. However, once we stepped inside, it was a completely different experience. This was by far the best hibachi I’ve had in a long time! The portions were generous, the service was okay, and the chef was entertaining. The food was delicious, and the yummy yum sauce was a perfect touch. I enjoyed the Sandusky deluxe meal and the Shaggy Dog sushi roll, both of which were flavorful and satisfying. We will definitely be coming back! My husband and I had a wonderful time celebrating our wedding anniversary. It was worth the price; we spent around $105 or more, not including the tip.

The service was friendly, the food was delicious, and the show was fantastic! Monte was absolutely wonderful.

During my time in Ohio, I visited this restaurant several times, and not much has changed since then. The interior and service are still the same. Our server that evening was outstanding—she was energetic and engaging. The Ninja Turtle Drinks were fantastic, and I highly recommend trying them. This time, we chose not to sit at the grill, which is perfectly fine if you've enjoyed that experience before. The sushi took a bit longer to arrive than the entrees we ordered, but everything was delicious.
