Route 66 - Sancoale

Fun place where we dined and got to hear amazing live music. Service was quick and always with a smile. The food... The food was to die for. We ordered SOB burger (amazing and tasty), the route 66 burger, apple and ginger ale mocktail, smoked BBQ wings, rum cake pop and NY cheesecake.

Great restaurant! The ambience, food and service were excellent. The menu was reasonable, but the bar menu and desserts are quite expensive. The restaurant itself is full of colour. Each table is hand painted with various topics. Overall a very good experience.

This new Route 66 venue is your chiq American diner place in Panjim! <br/ The ambience has major Biker/Rock vibes, much to my boyfriends’ delight. <br/ Wall art with classic vintage posters create an enchanting retrostyle atmosphere. <br/ <br/ Routes is known for its Cheesy burgers (thick and juicy and Juicy steaks! <br/ The Burgers on the menu are diverse with interesting varieties. <br/ They truly showcase the creativity and ambition of the chef. <br/ We had the ‘Big Cheez Burger’, a grilled beef hamburger with cheddar cheese, accompanied with crispy potato wedges (these were fantastic! <br/ Truly a juicy and hearty burger! (And mouthful <br/ Have had the HellBoy and Wolverine Burgers in the past. Delicious, from what I remember. <br/ If you’re feeling extra indulgent, try the WTF burger, a double patty burger with loads of bacon, jalapeños, frankfurters and a sweet-spicy sauce. However you won’t be able to have anything else. <br/ <br/ Had a flambé of fillet mignon, medium well (according to your preference steak flambeed with brandy, at the table. Meat was done just right! And we had a nice red wine reduction sauce, sautéed veggies and fries (we ordered more of it later to go with it. <br/ Penne Ariabata was flavourful for sure, but was letdown by the undercooked penne. <br/ <br/ We visited during near- lockdown, so a lot of the menu was cut down. As for beverages, we settled with Kingfisher beer, which was absolutely fine! <br/ <br/ Don’t miss this gem the next time you’re in Panjim!

We thought Route 66 was a very late lunch after visiting the restaurant on Google. Since it was a strange hour, it was economical with just another group. I was impressed by the impressive interiors and works of art to reflect the pan-American cuisine. The room is open and welcoming with the dining room furniture with solid tables and chairs as well as diner-style stands. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had nutritional restrictions and the cook could adapt to our wishes. Food quality and taste were not affected. Our custom order thin crust vegan pizza was a winner! The cocktails are amazing. A special cry to Chetana to ensure our experience was pleasant!
