Cochichos Resort - Sancoale

An otherwise 5 star experience quickly got demoted because of the following reasons: We were denied bottled water and tea coffee sachet refills on the day we were to check out. I had called front desk around 8 am with the request, when we were pretty much legit guests with the checkout time still 4 hours to go. The front desk guy said it's a hotel policy quite an absurd one and the first time in my wide travels. I tried requesting nevertheless as we had reached late last night and there wasn't any water to drink. At the end, I just told him to get us the stuff and bill it on actuals. I've had enough. The front desk guy had this snarky behavior that I failed to understand in our 3 days' stay. The incident completely changed what was a wonderful stay at the resort. We stayed at the deluxe rooms and the suite as well, and the suite is thoughtfully designed and a pleasure to stay. The deluxe rooms could get a little bigger, though. Full marks to the breakfast and kitchen staff, helpful and courteous chaps.

Visited cochichos resort few days back. I am impressed with them a lot. Its a amazing experience. Thanks to my travel booking agent M/S TRIPSTRING for booking such a beautiful and incredible trip. Chochichos resort is best place for stay if you want a peaceful and near to nature. This resort is just 11 min walking distance from vagator beach. Their rooms are big, clean and comfortable. Their food is awesome, tasty and comparatively cheaper and the amazing thing i requested for chef choice dish which they served which is not in their menu card (palak cheese corn role) (picture is added with this). Usually chef's dont take extra pain to prepare something special. But they offered lot of dishes which is not even mentioned in their menu card. As a EX CHEF i really liked their gesture and special thanks to F&b service team too for their polite and humble approach towards their guests. Their staff is really nice, helpful and humble. In other words its truly home away from home. If i got a chance to come again then for sure I will spend my whole of vacation in cochichos resort only. This is a really amazing place to stay. The rooms are great and are cleaned daily, very comfortable beds, nice balcony and a pool. The kitchen is open late and the food is really good and versatile. The location is off the main road so it is nice and quiet. But most of all it is the ever so devoted service of the entire staff that makes it your best place to stay in Vagatore.

Pros: Good property. Spacious rooms. Cons: Poor hospitality. Example: Only two folks to manage the entire breakfast arrangement for the entire resort, leading to follow ups and delays. Also, breakfast spread is below average. They also do not send cutlery to the room. The resort is also not infants friendly example: no ramps for stroller movement to the rooms. No availability of buckets or mugs to bath the infant. Lastly, very poor wifi service and Airtel 4G availability.

Was here for the IBW 2022 event. Booked through makemytrip. Quite affordable, even in December. Located in Vagator, a 10 mins walk to the beach. A few but nice, clean rooms. Great service, friendly staff, good morning breakfast. Single entry and exit gate, so vehicles are secure.
