The Buffet - San Xavier

The best and oldest Dive Bar in Tucson. Monica, Robin, Chris, Allen and Cody are awesome. And all the others that bartend. You can find all walks of life there. Leave your attitude at the door, This place is very down to earth and friendly. Always a great time.

Well well well, by pure happenstance I dropped a pin here when requesting and Uber, and little did I know, I stumbled into the oldest and possibly best bar in Tucson.It’s a small space with primarily bar top seating, along with a pool table, a juke box, and a handful of tables. It was a Friday night, and boy it was busy! The staff were kind and welcoming to us Phoenicians and were happy to give us the low down on how the Buffet worked. Turns out they give everyone a free round at certain times of the night, which is a really fun and unique ritual.Beers on tap are very limited, but I was happy enough with the canned beers available. Jell-O shots are also super popular here. The Buffet offers a smorgasbord of people watching and interesting interactions, and is a fantastic place to either begin or end your night.

This is THE BEST BAR IN TUCSON, and maybe on the planet.Opens 6 am (except Mondays, so they can GI the place).Really decent prices; if you’re there 6 pm u get a free drink chip!

Barkeeps were awesome and friendly! Quirky, home town atmosphere.

PATRONS ARE WITTY AND FUN AND FRIENDLY...MORE COMMENTS TO FOLLOW...?...UPDATE :1 9 24 STILL GREAT..ESPECIALLY THE POOL PLAYERS..UPDATE : 01 23 24..mike the manager bouncer ill socialable accounts are too overwhelming..hopefully he is banished from management..much more to follow..he was chasing me west down the street trying to pick a fight with a 62 year old man..how sad..?..i emplor you..I guess he's brain washed the bartenders with his might..let me know when he is LONG GONE..!..prior to that he put me out in the cold rain to wait for my taxi..WHAT A PRETENTIOUS .
