Contribuiți la feedbackA sleepy little Chinese restaurant. Nothing wrong with this place, but nothing really right about it either. The food is simply boring, ideally suited for elderly white folks from the midwest. My girlfriend’s Cashew Chicken was drowning in a salty brown sauce that appeared to have plenty of corn starch to thicken it, plenty of salt to preserve it. I believe I ordered the Mongolian Shrimp, it was fine, nothing to write home about. The hot and sour soup was uncharacteristically dark and unctuous. The interior is clean enough. The large tile flooring looked spotless and relatively new (since at least 2019, judging by older photos). The walls are minimally decorated. The exterior is looking a bit shabby and poorly maintained. Those high-voltage cables have been dangling from the roof on both sides since at least 2019… whoever did that installation obviously takes no pride in their work. Is that even to code? Looks like a nasty accident waiting to happen. The publicity photos shown in Google Maps present dishes that look pretty amazing, beautifully composed and photoshopped by a professional, especially the DoorDash photos. Reality is best represented by the other photos various customers have posted here. They’re a local business, presumably family run, so I’d really love to give them a glowing 5-star review, but they would have to step things up a bit, as this meal was pretty mediocre… one can get fresher tasting food at a Panda Express. On the other hand, lunch special prices are very reasonable and the fortune cookie was amusing.
Interesting. Order beef egg food young and chicken wings. Not only do I get home after taking 2 buses. They never gave me my white rice. Called to let them know, took my info down blah blah. I'm so hungry I decided to eat anyway, made some rice.... the beef is hardly any and not tender at all, over 30 dollars smh.Now I'm annoyed. However customer service is great and they have the cutest little person who knows the business and melts your heart. This child is definitely going to make something with herself. She was articulate and very welcoming.
Got exactly what I came for. The only other restaurants I found in Tucson that serve orange chicken make it a spicy dish. For my tastes I want it sweet, not spicy. Mandarin Grill did it the way I was looking for. The sauce was so thick and sweet that eaten on it's own it would almost be cloying, but mixing it with the generous portion of steamed rice achieved the perfect level of sweetness and brought out the light tangy notes of citrus. I wish the other eateries in town would take their inspiration from this version of the dish. Unfortunately the egg roll that came with the dinner was not hot. Room temperature, almost cold. The starters came out immediately, and the wait for the main course was not long either. I ordered an additional item at the end to take with me, which took a little longer than I expected, but not excessively. The server refilled my tea multiple times, and I would rate the service as excellent overall.
Not bad at all. Definitely much worse in town. It's our friend's favorite Chinese place. The portions are huge n inexpensive not much rice tho. Will do in a pinch.
Food was average, but portions were extremely small. Prices were fairly good if the portions were not so small, it's like they are serving you a small child's portion!! The owners were present and very unfriendly and showed no kind of hospitality to the customers, they actually kind of made my family feel like we were be rushed and an inconvenience to them.
