San Remo Chinese

Got dinner on a weekend away. Food was very tasty with generous serves. 5:45pm on Saturday evening, take away service was fast and polite. Really enjoyed the meal, with plenty of leftovers for tomorrow. Having eaten at many Chinatown restaurants in Melbourne I would say it's more in the western/Aussie style of Chinese food, being not true authentic style but probably not what is required in the area. Great feed, would recommend to anyone who enjoys good food, service and value. 4.5 stars (if I could) only because i believe there is always room for improvement.

Just want we wanted. A bang up feed of honest Chinese takeaway. Loved the fried ice cream and my 10 year old devoured the beef and blackbean. Good sized servings. Will be back for more. <br/

I've dined here twice and had a wonderful experience both times. The food is excellent, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. If you're in San Remo, you definitely shouldn't miss this place. The only downside I found was their limited opening hours.

We ordered the King Garlic Prawns and Sweet Sour Pork along with Special Fried Rice. The meals were delicious and served in generous portions. We will definitely be coming back, as it offers great value for your money. - Rick V

I was quite surprised by our experience. My wife is Chinese Malaysian, and I've spent about 15 years living in Asia, so I know what to expect. After reading some reviews, I wasn't anticipating such high quality. We deliberately avoided the typical Western favorites since we're not fans of them. Instead, we ordered the Peking prawns, Wagyu beef in pepper sauce, a mix of seasonal vegetables with bean curd, and fried rice. Everything was at least a 7 to 8 out of 10. We'll definitely return. The service was decent, but what more can you expect?
