Bamboo Sushi Bishop Ranch - San Ramon

This was my first time dining at this restaurant. It is a unique establishment that is 100% committed to sustainability. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I definitely plan on returning in the future.

My sister and I have visited this restaurant twice and both times the server took the time to explain the restaurant's philosophy and offered excellent recommendations. I highly recommend trying the sweet shrimp, the full circle, and the green machine - all of which were delicious. The service was outstanding and we will definitely be returning.

My husband took me out to this restaurant for my birthday. The food was decent, but not outstanding. The service was okay, we had to ask for more soy sauce and water and our waiter didn't check on us even though he visited the table next to ours. I liked the decor. They don't have a liquor license yet, so when my husband ordered sake, he was initially told they were out. It turns out they can only serve three types of wine, which was going to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. This seemed a bit odd. For dessert, we asked for the menu but nothing caught our eye, so we decided to skip it. The waiter then wished me a happy birthday and offered to treat me to a dessert of my choice. We went with the brownie with miso caramel sauce, which was surprisingly good. When we received the bill on an iPad, my husband found it hard to check the charges and suspected we were billed for the complimentary dessert. I might consider returning, but with so many other great options available, I will likely explore those first.

We were excited to try this new place and love the idea of sustainable seafood. The service was slow and not very friendly. Our waiter did his best but was overwhelmed with other tables. He was informative and polite, but we waited a lot for some condiments and ordering more food. The food was fresh, innovative and excellent. I will go back and try them again. Great atmosphere.
