La Querencia exceeded all expectations for our first meal in Costa Rica. A serendipitous last-minute find, this restaurant turned out to be a gem on New Year's Eve. The warm ambiance and impeccable service created a delightful atmosphere. To kick off the celebration, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary ginger, lemon, and cacique drink – a thoughtful touch for the occasion. The generosity continued with a complimentary shot of cacique, adding a festive flair to our brunch experience. The sangria was a must-try and lived up to its reputation. I opted for the Rancheros Huevos, and each bite was a burst of flavor, showcasing the culinary excellence of La Querencia. The attentive staff, coupled with the delectable food, made our visit memorable. La Querencia is undoubtedly a culinary haven, perfect for any occasion.

Visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening around 6pm, there were only three tables and one waitrress, she was very attentive at the beginning but then it was really difficult to get served, request for anything as she hardly came around. The meat was good, we ordered the tenderloin and the entraña skirt steak). The quality of the meat was really good, but they did over cook the entraña which was sad. It is difficult to cook it blue on a thin cut but doable, it arrived medium rare to medium on some part : . The tenderloin came in better as it was a thicker cut. The pasta as a side dish was absolutely delicious though would come back for a pasta dish for sure. The food was good, the service could be better. We did have to walk up to the bar to get the bill when we wanted to leave.

Wow!! Wow! Great experience! Delicious food! First of all, our server was super nice, go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of, and I really appreciate that. He tried his best to converse in English because we spoke no Spanish. I have loved everything I've tried. Must try empanadas and fresh papaya juice. We (including teenagers) had breakfast and lunch at this place. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for awesome food and service.

Had a lovely mushroom ravioli the other day. Well flavoured, though I was expecting a slightly bigger portion for the price paid, than what I received. But I'd be happy to return

The food and service were good. I was caught off guard by the prices. I expect a very, very different experience for the cost. It has a bistro feel with Prada prices.
