Los Moles Hecho En Casa - San Rafael

Food is amazing. Have been coming here for over year and the service is always great. I only wish they had a bar with real tequila. They only serve agave wine in their margaritas. I always get a margarita but it's just not the same as a traditional one made with real tequila. Ambiance is always fun and the team working makes us feel welcome. Again if the full bar isn't a deal breaker, the food is amazing!

Food was actually fantastic, went on taco tuesday and got birria tacos for $6 each (sadly they don't have a taco bar anymore). There was nobody else eating at the restaurant when we went and our server kept walking off into another room ignoring us, so long one time some merchant off the street and was trying to sell us things at our table which was pretty awkward. Would definitely come again during dinner hours to have the great birria tacos again.

Finally! A local Mexican restaurant where I can enjoy delicious and satisfying food. My husband and I crave Mexican food at least once a week so we usually end up with take-outs that are disappointingly prepared. Well, tonight we got lucky when I was browsing the Internet and discovered Los Moles. We discovered that dining in the restaurant is preferable to eating cold food out of containers. The decor and the ambiance were just right. Nothing fancy but the staff made us feel welcome the whole time we were there. We started with guacamole and tortilla chips. The ingredients were fresh, the avocado was 100% avocado! My husband ordered the ceviche (served in a huge bowl) and I was there mainly for the chile relleno (with shredded chicken). The flavors of all the dishes were intensely flavorful. I only wish I had ordered extra rice and refried beans! I deliberately did not finish the creamy chipotle sauce on my chile relleno so that I could bring it home to enjoy again. If only they sold their chipotle sauce in a jar, I'd be there to stock up my pantry.
