Amber Kitchen - San Rafael

I was told by a person on the street that they have never seen the restaurant open with customers. The tables are set up, but there is something suspicious about it. The sign outside does not display any operating hours. When I called the number, a man inquired about the location and informed me that they were not open for lunch that day. There was no signage at the restaurant itself to indicate this. (Review updated on November 3, 2022)

The restaurant is beautiful and all of our dishes were completely vegan. They also offer vegetarian choices. The food nourishes both your body and soul. The owner is quite the character. He is very friendly and welcoming, and even gave us extra garlic naan for free and offered us a good deal on wine. He's a great guy with delicious food. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning for more tasty and healthy meals.

The vegan Indian food at this restaurant is truly exceptional. The sauces are lighter and the flavors are intense. Be sure to specify that you want the vegan menu as the vegetarian menu offers many options, but we always ask for the vegan versions.
