Cafe Huì Yīng Lóu - 三浦郡

This Western-style restaurant in the Kamakura-Zushi-Hayama area, which is known as a tourist destination, is not easily accessible without a car, which is rare for the area. However, this allows for a very relaxed lunchtime experience with just the right amount of crowds even during peak hours. The highly recommended seafood curry is a harmony of slowly simmered spiced roux and plump shrimp, creating a delicious seafood flavor. While the curry dishes are plentiful, the hamburg steak covered in a rich demi-glace sauce offers a stable and deep flavor typical of a Western-style restaurant. The prices range from 1,280 to 1,680 yen, which is relatively affordable for Hayama. This price includes a drink and salad as well. The restaurant also has a spacious parking lot, making it a great stop during a drive or tour.

Every time I passed by the neighborhood soba restaurant, Waka-na, I was curious to try it out, so I decided to go for lunch this time. I heard from my wife that the curry here is outstanding, so I ordered the cabbage and pork curry. It was a perfect combination of my favorite ingredients, and the cabbage was cooked to perfection with a crunchy texture that cabbage lovers will adore. The curry was delicious and not too spicy. We also ordered the most popular set, custard lemon pie and aging coffee, which paired beautifully together. The coffee refills were reasonably priced. The evening menu looks enticing as well, so I definitely want to come back for dinner next time. The history of the restaurant's name, along with photos of the interior and the chef's background, was interesting. Overall, it was a great dining experience, although parking can be a bit tricky at times.

I went to the restaurant around 11am on Sunday and the parking lot was quite full! We tried the seafood curry (with salad and drink) and it was delicious! After the meal, we also had lemon cake which was generously topped with cream but not too heavy, and was tasty!

ディナーにて利用。シーフードカレーのセット1280円をいただく。しっかりコクのある味わい深いカレーで大満足です。エビや帆立、ムール貝などの魚介がたくさんで味の変化も楽しめる。サラダの彩りの良さや新鮮さもよかった。最後、エイジングコーヒーでほっと一息つけるのもカフェならでは。 夜の部は予約優先で料理を出されているとこのとで、提供が少し遅くなるとのこと、カレーはすぐに出てきましたが、ハンバーグとか焼き物になると時間かかりそうでした。前日までの予約をしておくとよいです。この辺りの説明も丁寧でした。

シナモントーストと、コクテール堂熟成コーヒーを頂きました。深みあるエイジングコーヒー、ついおかわりしてしまいました。普段はタリーズのモカですが、エイジングも美味ですね。 店内はたいへん広く、ゆったりしています。カーペンターズが癒してくれました。
