Cafe Kracovia - San Pedro

The restaurant was decent, but not outstanding. It is located in a contrasting area next to a busy road. The food was alright, although it started off poorly with no customers in the initial room. However, I recommend giving the outdoor seating area a try as there is something worth exploring in the end.

During my visit to Costa Rica in 2019, I spent nearly two weeks at Hotel Ave Del Paraiso. Right next to the hotel is Cafe Kracovia, a restaurant that serves the most delicious crepes. I also thoroughly enjoyed their maracuya pie and chocolate crepes. I was in San Jose, Costa Rica for a volunteer teaching trip with Maximo Nivel, which is conveniently located near Cafe Kracovia. If you find yourself in the area for a Maximo Nivel volunteer trip, be sure to visit Cafe Kracovia for some tasty meals and delectable desserts.

This restaurant is the worst I've ever been to. I visited twice, and both times were disappointing. The first time, I waited two hours for a hamburger. The second time, I waited 30 minutes just to be acknowledged after sitting down, and I didn't even receive a menu. The wait staff was pathetic.

We went for coffee and to get some work done the variety of hot and cold drinks is fun and means there's something for everyone, and the desserts were delicious. We ended up staying for dinner and sangria, and returning a few more times over our stay. There are plenty of vegetarian options, and the food is good and fresh, but the sweet offerings were really what stood out.
