Essenza - SAN MINIATO

After an awful experience some meters away we passed „essenza“ and were more than happy how things developed. we were accompanied to a small balcony big enough for two small tables were we enjoyed wonderful food and wine served by heart-warming friendly staff. the price was more than reasonable, an absolute recommendation.

Staff very kindly made us a meat, cheese, bread etc platter as we were too early for dinner, chef not due to arrive for an hour or so. Very much appreciated as we had just arrived from Australia, a very long trip for those who don’t know, and we were exhausted but trying not to go to bed far too early. Enjoyed this lovely platter, a couple of glasses of wine, a spritz and beer, not in that order. Would have been five stars but felt while delicious and appreciated the cost was higher than expected for Italy.

Very good clam truffle spaghetti and a salmon tartare. For dessert a tasty tiramisu with Italian espresso. Overall a nice stop.

After several turns to museums and towers on a summer day. for a truffle culter nothing can exceed this place I highly recommend it!
