La Sirenita - San Miguel de Cozumel

Have tried dozens of Taco sites on cozumel in the last 15 years. I have not found tacos and especially sopas like that. this place is far from the main strip sea side, small, local, family-run restaurant. sometimes there is a small disturbance, but this awaits with a small family-run Mexican street restaurant. if they deviate from the cruise ship, they stay away, this is not a place to serve at their wake and call. if they like to find and eat at these small and local food sites, this is their place.

Loves this restaurant so much! we ate there almost every day during in cozumel. with tacos at around 20 pesos, they can't be better than that! my favorite part is that the tacos with salat, swirling and tomaten come on them and a whole dish sauces! the empanadas were also delicious

If they want authentic delicious Mexican cuisine, they come to this place! the woman who made the food has made an excellent job and I would visit again when I traveled to cozumel! that was a great hole in a wall, mom and pop restaurant. she has this super spicy wobbly Habanero sauce that she can try, but it is spicy spicy.

I was very happy we found this place. Meanwhile bars and restaurants along the beach they charges as much as in the US but non of their food looked that good, in my opinion. This place was amazing!! If you rent your own vehicle please go try, there was street parking readily available just outside. Very great service, delicious food, tortillas made fresh, authentic Mexican. My husband and I ate so much and they only charged $6 US dollars for two full meals. I gave them $20, well worth it! Ps. No credit card accepted but US dollar is fine, bring small bills.

We just picked up about 20 tacos of chicken, asada, and fish. They were great. The flavor was insane. Our kids wanted more and they are pretty picky, so great job. This little restaurant is just across the street from burger king, and pretty far from the tourist area. Way better than any BK meal I've had. Also prices were great as well. Just a note to US tourists, 7se pesos. Much easier for the owners. Using US was a pain. Our fault, we should have had more pesos.
