Contribuiți la feedbackThere are so many good restaurants in San Miguel that focus on mexican Modern and traditional cuisine that this restaurant is out of place. Suchi is acceptable, Japanese classics like sushi rolls and tempura are barely acceptable but in the end you DON'T come to San Miguel to eat sushi!!!!!We came here just to try it out (I love asian food) and left with what we expected, a restaurant out of place.
We wanted to eat close by. The hotel recommended Sakana, a Japanese restaurant 20° 54.7543' N, 100° 44.7577' W . A husband and wife team received us with open arms. I had shrimp tempura with tempura vegetables such as: spinach, mushrooms, zucchini, carrots and onions. Simply delicious. Mirta had Pasta Udon with chicken and shrimps. (Udon is a thick wheat-based noodle which can be squared or round. As is the case with other noodles, udon will puff up when it is cooked, making the noodles even bigger, and very dense with a generally soft texture. The dried noodles can sometimes be found in coils, often with packets of seasoning or dressing to accompany the noodles once they are cooked. Dried noodles are also available in long sticks, like Italian pasta. (WiseGeek)). With the meal, we had Sake (Sake is sometimes referred to in English-speaking countries as rice wine. However, unlike wine, in which alcohol is produced by fermenting sugar that is naturally present in grapes and other fruits, sake is produced by means of a brewing process more like that of beer. To make beer or sake, the sugar needed to produce alcohol must first be converted from starch. (Wikipedia)). However, when drinking sake, one must be careful. Its alcohol content can be as high as 20% which is more than wine and much more than beer. A very good restaurant.
