Los Meatballs - San Miguel de Allende

These are the best meatballs I've ever had. You can buy them to take home to add to a dish or order one of the many different options and chill at the bar to enjoy a great meal. Their Mac n Cheese is as close to home as I have had in Mexico. Fresh local and Oaxachan cheese and your choice of pasta. Fast fresh food. Amazing friendly service and they mostly speak English.

I crave these meatballs!We stopped in for a quick bite and we weren't disappointed.Francisco suggested plate lunches with various sauces- my favorite was the yogurt/garlic. The beer was good & cold!We enjoyed talking to Francisco, he speaks wonderful English. It's a great place to stop in for a quick bite, they also deliver.

Newly opened in San Miguel's first modern foodcourt. The six appetizer size meatballs were tasty with the sauce provided they were not juicy as expected. Too dry for me to conclude I need some more. This was a chicken meatball so in fairness I need to return for the beef style. Nice tomato/basel sauce and other choices. Nice concept for a fast, inexpensive light meal if you are on the go. Maybe in time feedback will improve the offerings.

Los Meatballs is a fine little eatery in a new market located on a street called the Ancha just down from the Jardin, the main plaza in San Miguel. It's run my a nice young man, Jason, who offers various kinds of meatballs, called Albondigas in Spanish, made from pork, chicken, beef, lamb, chick peas, along with a good choice of sauces. For example you can get Albondigas de Italia, meatballs with a Italian tomato sauce & a side of spaghetti, or Torta De Albondigas, beef meatballs with a spicier tomato sauce. I went for Albondigas Suecas, Swedish type meatballs with mashed potatoes, a creamy sauce & pickled cucumbers. It was delicious. The meatballs where perfectly spiced along with rich mashed potatoes, no shortage of butter there. The pickled cucumbers were really good & offset the rich meatballs & mash. There are also various salads available. It's a good place to go if you want a quick, no fuss lunch. I will for sure be going back.
