La Grotta - San Miguel de Allende

My man and I tried this pizza place for my birthday after many friends had suggested it. we ordered another pizza and both were terrible. the half of his pizza was burned and both had no strokes and sauce. for 500 pesos I will never return to this place.

The ambiente is really beautiful, but the pizza is absolutely terrible. the naturality of the ingredients is terrible, they can also warm up a frozen pizza. the pizza came soggy and barely cheese. on the menu they have chic ingredients, but. it is all a lie, they will not contain them on the pizza and will give them an excuse why not. I guess they do this to justify the unfortunate prices. when we complained to the manager, a young child, he simply ignored us and tried to free us. terrible experience and definitiw a tourist trap.

I had two dinners here, once an Italian court, once a mexican. both were delicious and fresh. the drinks here are very good and the people were very nice, tolerated my non-Spanish patient.

I urge people to go to the new location on the Salida de Queretaro, not far from Residencial Zirandaro. The people at this location are very friendly and the food is topnotch. Rather than offering an obligatory veggie pizza, they have lots of extras for...it (only wish they had green olives rather than black ones). If you have to take a left out of the parking lot once you leave, take lots of precautions becuase this highway is zany with even zanier drivers.

Had a Bianco salad which was very good and a medium pizza which was also very tasty. The staff took an eternity to take our order and just didn't seem to care about us during the entire meal. Prices are a bit high for locals.
