Contribuiți la feedbackWe made reservations for 2 people for Friday night. This place is always packed. Reservations are a must! We've heard lots of great things and finally tried it. The service was friendly, attentive, and quick. The food was okay, hence the lower rating. The omakase, each bite wasn't memorable. My favorite out of the 8 nigiri was the Hokkaido scallop. The rest was so-so. This wouldn't be my top must-try for Omkase. The cuts for the sashimi were thin for the price.
Our favorite weekend omakase destination. Consistently superb and fresh sushi at a reasonable price!
10/29/2023 Sat It was an impromptu decision going to Sushi Maruyama last night. That said we didn't have a reservation. It was 6pm and they were able to squeeze us in for an hour between 6:15-7pm. Food was as good as I remembered. Ordered off the special menu and regular menu all my favorites like: 1 Tempura anago eel, crispy crunchy yum! 2 Ankimo fish liver, I forgot to order the chef version, this is the standard house version 3 Nigiri included -Barracuda x 2 (my true love! super flavorful yum!! -Ora king salmon, super fatty yum! -Akami blue fin tuna, melt in your mouth yum! -Blue Fish, a new fish I never tried before, the waitress explained to me is a white butter kind of fish, also melt in your mouth yum -Ice fish which I had before but Maruyama's definitely taste fresher and indeed as its name chilled as ice, so unique yum! We were super grateful to the maitre d' who took us in and satisfied my sushi craving so the least we can do was to finish our meal, get our check and return the table right on time for their 7pm. reservation. Sushi Maruyama for the win!
Food: 5/5 Price: Customer service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Parking: Street parking 54 for a 8 piece Omakase isnt bad considering the freshness and unique flavor profiles of the fish that they serve! Every dish was a hit starting from the carpaccios. Both the A5 wagyu carpaccio and seared salmon carpaccio was packed with flavor and just melted in my mouth. I could literally have infinite dishes of these. The hamachi kama was crisp on the outside and hot on the inside! Omg, also to end the night with their creamy panna cotta was just simply simply perfect! Chef's kiss*
