Amicis Rws - San Mateo

Amici's Pizza never fails to impress! They offer some of the best pizza choices around, and their crusts are among my favorites. I enjoyed dining outdoors with my pets, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive—they even brought out water bowls for my cats. Their recommendations were excellent as well. I'm excited to go back!

If you're a fan of New York-style pizzas with a thin crust, this is the spot for you. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality makes it worth the extra expense. The pastas, salads, and desserts are enjoyable but not particularly remarkable. Located in downtown San Mateo, parking on the street can be a challenge, so I recommend using the public parking garages instead. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating options. Be sure to try the pizzas—they're definitely the highlight!

I had the kale and chicken pizza, and it was fantastic! It had a slight kick to it, plenty of toppings, and the addition of pine nuts was a nice touch. It was a truly unique pizza that I really enjoyed! The crust wasn't burnt, but there were a few charred crumbs left behind, which makes me think they could benefit from cleaning their ovens more often. As someone who grew up on the East Coast, I can confidently recommend this place.

Audrey was very friendly and efficient as both a hostess and server. I ordered olive oil and vinegar with sourdough bread along with the Michi combo pizza. Both were very delicious and the bread was hot and fresh made... So be careful you might burn your fingers with that lol... The pizza was very flavorful and of course old world brick oven cooked... I was very excited about that fact... And the price was reasonable especially for the high quality food that you get. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone who gets the chance.

I looooove the pizza here an the service is so nice they check in with u and give u space when needed and make u feel super welcome kinda pricey but well worth it. If I lived closer that would be the only pizza I'd go for broke for
