Taste Of China - San Marcos

Stopped by for dinner. Typical Asian buffet fare. Not busy at all and the food was tasty. It looked like they took a hit from the pandemic. Hardly any customers and the place is HUGE and felt empty. If they ran out of anything we just asked the waiter and they put in the request.

Taste of China has been my go-to spot for solo meals over the past few months. I always leave feeling satisfied, and my drink is quickly refilled when I return. The menu offers plenty of options, which makes me happy! I tend to keep my focus on my own experience, so I can't comment on the overall condition of the place. What truly matters to me is the friendly staff, and considering the prices, the food is more than enough for what you pay. I definitely enjoy coming here!

The food was fresh and outstanding! I really appreciated how thick the sauces on the chicken were—so much better than the watery options found at many Chinese buffets. There was a beautiful variety of dishes, and the staff was incredibly friendly! Our waiter made sure our table was spotless and our drinks were always full, even taking the time to personally hand out lollipops to our children. The spring rolls were fantastic, and I enjoyed the little cakes even more than the usual desserts you find at Chinese buffets. The lo mein was spot on as well. I will definitely be returning!

There's a new China show in town. It has been around for a while since our last visit, but it still holds strong despite the challenges of the past three years. The food was excellent, and the waitstaff were very professional and polite.

I was pleasantly accepted. Beef and broccoli were some of the best I had on a buffet. Ditto pepper steak. Ditto chicken on one floor. Excellent service for boating! For the Chinese buffet I highly recommend this place.
