Denny's - San Marcos

I've visited many Denny's locations throughout California, and I can confidently say that this one is the best. It's my favorite! I live in Escondido and there’s a Denny's in town, but I prefer to drive to San Marcos because the waitstaff and the manager are fantastic. I truly love this place—you could call me a regular. They serve the best coffee I've ever had!

I visited the restaurant yesterday to redeem my free Grand Slam for my birthday, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was both delicious and served hot. The server was attentive without being intrusive, which I appreciated. I really loved the menu options. The bacon and cheddar tater tots were especially tasty! I will definitely be back again soon!

I had an amazing time at this restaurant! The Beyond Burger was fantastic, and their seasoned fries were incredibly tasty. My brother ordered pancakes, potatoes, and eggs, which he really enjoyed! I was especially impressed because we arrived about 40 minutes before closing, yet the staff was so friendly and welcoming. Our food was prepared quickly, and everything was delicious. I truly appreciate their kindness, even with us dining close to closing time, which can be challenging for restaurants. They were attentive and accommodating! I highly recommend this place if you're in the area. Thank you to the wonderful staff—you made our experience unforgettable!

Great food, perfectly cooked Wish my state had a Denny's this good! Highly recommend! We will be back! Normally hash browns are hard and burned, not here. The tea and coffee were fresh (and not burned). The pancakes and omelets filled the plates edge to edge super yummy, too! Besides the great food and the kind staff, the place is clean! The window sills are spotless and the table/chair/booth was even super clean with no stickiness anywhere even the menus were clean!

We came today and we did t have to wait. Me and my daughter sat down and ordered coffee and hot chocolate. We both had breakfast meals and all the food was so delicious. Our waitress Stacey was so nice and helpful I’ve been coming here since I was young so it’s nice to bring my daughter here and tell her stories about my younger life. Definitely recommend this place
